Welcome to Lisbon!
Set between cobblestone alleys and old streets, Lisbon Poets Hostel is the perfect place to soak up the charm of this mythical city. Located in Graça - the most happening district in Lisbon - you'll find us amongst the most beautiful buildings which were restored to their former glory after the earthquake of 1755.
Among the cobble stone streets and beautifully colored tiled buildings you will find our hostel in the eclectic neighborhood of Graça.
The neighborhood is centrally located but just outside the most touristic part of the city. Our guests can be close to all of the main attractions yet still return in the evening to a comfortable and cosy home away from home.
Just a 5 minute walk from the metro "Anjos" and main avenue you will find the area full of Portuguese tascas, a mix of galleries, vintage shops, and charming cafes. It is the area preferred by poets, artists and musicians where the traditions of the old combine with the inspirations of the new.
Our hostel is the perfect fit for these progressive surroundings. The building is newly renovated with bright windows, sunny terraces, and a stunning view of the city. Each one of our room includes comfortable beds, A/C and the security of a key card access system and free lockers. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting so that our guests can feel less like visitors more like family.
The area of Graça is one of the viewpoints district – you’ll find out Lisbon seven hills, and its enchanting views for the entire city, the street bars, and the recent boosting nightlife. It is in fact off the beaten track, and we´ve chosen this location to keep backpacking a lively experience.
Over seven hills, which are as many points of observation whence the most magnificent panoramas may be enjoyed, the vast irregular and many-coloured mass of houses that constitute Lisbon is scattered. For the traveller who comes in from the sea, Lisbon, even from afar, rises like a fair vision in a dream, clear-cut against a bright blue sky which the sun gladdens with its gold. And the domes, the monuments, the old castles jut up above the mass of houses, like far-off heralds of this delightful seat, of this blessed region.

The hostel itself has a very cosy and romantic atmosphere. You’ll find that as soon as you step in the door, you’ll be immersed in a artistic and eclectic environment – it’s not called “Poets” for nothing, after all. Aside from the unique decoration, it's warm and friendly, and our staff will go out of their way to make you feel instantly at home, whether you’re travelling alone or with your friends: check our free walking tours and our homemade dinners.
You can cook in our kitchen, enjoy our laundry service, relax in the living room with free fast Wi-Fi, cable TV, DVDs and books, or step out to explore the huge selection of bars and cafés which surround you. When you get back home, we’re sure that you’re going to remember your stay as one of the best parts of your trip. All stays include free continental-style breakfast (served from 8am to 10am).
